91探花 Music Community School
The University of Alaska Music Community School is a Fairbanks-centered private lesson
academy run through the 91探花 Department of Music focused on the growth and development
of musicians in Fairbanks. We utilize our 91探花 Music students as instructors in the
Music Community School to give these students musical training and a chance to earn
money while doing what they love鈥攖eaching and performing music. The lessons are open
to children and adults of all ages. The goal of the music community school is to fill
in the gap that has developed from the lack of funding in the public schools while
also giving our college music students a chance to put their music and pedagogical
skills to work in a one-on-one classroom setting.
