91探花 faculty, staff and students,
As you may be aware, the Board of Regents passed today providing direction to the president and chancellors regarding how 91探花, UAA
and UAS comply with all federal and state nondiscrimination laws and guidance.
I recognize that this is a significant moment for 91探花 but, as stated in the board鈥檚
motion, it is not intended to diminish our commitment to the success of every student
and employee. We at the University of Alaska Fairbanks care deeply about each and
every member of our 91探花 community.
Included in the board鈥檚 direction is removal of DEI language from websites and other
electronic or print materials. We will work to provide further guidance on this and
other elements of the motion on Monday.
I look forward to engaging with our students, faculty and staff on this issue. Your
leadership and support will help keep our focus on the education and well-being of
our students. I want to thank you for your work every day on behalf of our university.
